Springfield-Branson National Airport SGF-Springfield
Springfield-Branson National Airport is located within 5 miles of Greene County’s Springfield, Missouri. SGF-Springfield was formerly known as Springfield-Branson Regional Airport, Springfield Municipal Airport, and Springfield-Greene County Airport. Now, it serves as a major gateway to at least thirteen cities within the US. The Springfield, MO airport first opened in 1945, with the American Airlines offering the first commercial service the following year. The newest addition to the complex was designed by Reynolds Smith & Hills, and now functions as the Midfield Terminal.

The SGF-Springfield-Branson National Airport serves major cities such as Forsyth and Rockaway Beach. The massive complex features 2,750 acres of space, with two functional runways. As of 2007, the airport has served an average of 155 passengers. At the base of Springfield-Branson National Airport (SGF) is a unit of the Army National Guard. Most of the tourists coming in are from the cities of Chicago, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Las Vegas, with at least five US Airlines that have a base in this airport. It features its own Sky Gallery with rotating quarterly exhibits as well. You can visit the cities of Marmaros, and Ridgedale, from the airport.
